Firstly, thanks for taking the time to visit my website and I hope it provides all the information you need before ordering your keepsake blanket, cushion or Christmas stocking. Let me tell you a few things about me and how I started this little business.
My name is Hayley and I live with my son Maxwell in Wigan, although I'm originally from Hampshire. Shortly after my son’s birth in September 2013 I began making a keepsake blanket out of his tiny clothes because I just couldn't bear to throw any of them away. My Facebook friends loved it and it wasn’t too long before I was making more for them. Before I knew it, My Baby Patchwork was born.
After my short maternity leave came to an end I returned to my job as a teacher, making the blankets and cushions in the evenings and weekends. Within a few months I had built up a waiting list and realised that I needed more time to sew. Nowadays I work three days a week as a teacher and the other days I spend patching together beautiful baby clothes into precious keepsake blankets. I genuinely love making each and every one of them, whilst endeavouring to make them beautiful and completely original. Everything I create is made at my home in a pet and smoke free environment.
These blankets are handmade and are totally unique. They are designed as keepsakes to be loved and cherished and I recommend that you do not leave a child to sleep under them. On the occasion that you need to wash them please do so on a cool wash and do not tumble dry. Similarly, keepsake cushions are designed for decorative use and cannot be washed. Babies and toddlers should not be left alone to sleep with cushions or pillows.
